Job summary

CB Mining is seeking a Shop Technician to support underground mining equipment through electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting, schematics interpretation, and component repair. The role emphasizes safe operation, collaboration with supervisors, and accurate documentation for parts and procedures.

Ideal candidates bring trade-school or military experience, strong tool skills, and the ability to read schematics and use test equipment.

Qualifications

• Trade school, military, or equivalent experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Read and use a multimeter and tape measure.
• Solder and desolder components.
• Use basic hand tools, power tools, and sandblaster.
• Communicate with supervisor.
• Create parts lists based on reuse and salvage guidelines.
• Analyze test results to locate malfunctions.
• Study inter-relations of control circuits and plan tests.
• Conduct functional and operational tests on components.
• Troubleshoot and repair multi-purpose electronic and electro-hydraulic control systems for underground mining equipment.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
