Morton Salt, Inc. at Weeks Island is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to lead the design, installation, commissioning, and ongoing improvement of underground mining electrical systems.

You will manage capital and expense projects and collaborate with Operations and Maintenance to troubleshoot issues and improve equipment reliability. The ideal candidate holds a BS in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years in mining or heavy industry, and hands-on experience with switchgear, transformers,

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of electrical engineering experience in mining or heavy industry.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical power distribution and equipment.

Mansioni

• Develop and execute electrical capital and expense projects from design through installation and closeout.
• Provide engineering support for mine electrical distribution systems and infrastructure.
• Support switchgear, transformers, MCCs, motors, VFDs, and related mining equipment.
• Review electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, schematics, and specs.
• Support electrical power studies and arc-flash analysis.
• Troubleshoot electrical failures and improve reliability.
• Coordinate with Operations and Maintenance during project execution.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
