Rogers Group, Inc. in Nashville, TN, is seeking an Underground Miner / Equipment Operator for the Reostone Quarry. The role focuses on safe operation of mining equipment underground and assisting with blasting and ventilation as needed.

The successful candidate will have at least one year of underground mining equipment experience, a strong safety record, and the ability to work overtime and in all weather conditions. Training on TN explosives regulations will be provided as required.

Qualifications

• Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
• At least 1 year of proficient experience operating underground mining equipment (face drill, scaler, roof bolter, or loader) preferred.
• Willing to work in an underground mining environment.
• Willing to work with explosives and the blasting process – TN Explosive Handlers Card or Blasting Permit – or ability to obtain/renew those permits.
• Able to operate underground mining equipment with precision and excellence in a confined space.
• Ability to pick up on new tasks quickly.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
• Must be able to work underground and outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
• Self-motivated - able to work without requiring close supervision.
• Must pass pre-employment drug-screening.

Responsabilités

• Operating a face drill and/or roof bolter in an underground hard rock mine.
• Operating a wheel loader in a confined space to muck headings and load haul trucks.
• Running a scaler or an excavator with scaler attachment to scale rock from mine walls.
• Work with explosives and the blasting process to facilitate production.
• General work around the quarry and other assigned duties may also be required.
• Perform daily pre-and post- inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies
• Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
