Job summary

Morton Salt is seeking an Underground Miner for 2nd or 3rd shift in Painesville, OH. The role supports underground mining operations with tasks ranging from light to heavy equipment operation.

Responsibilities include training, inspections, machine care, and documentation. Must be 18+, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be eligible for an ATF license. On-site, full-time with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent educational experience.
• Must be 18 years of age.

• Must be able to apply for an ATF license through Morton Salt.
• Able to work independently and as an active member of a team.
• Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

• Operate light and heavy equipment as required.
• Perform pre-operation equipment inspections and document findings.
• Safely operate each required machine and meet production standards.
• Complete paperwork including inspection sheets, timecards, logs, and shift reports.
• Coordinate with supervisors and teammates and work independently as needed.
• Identify and address safety hazards and equipment issues and report concerns.
