Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited's Pogo operation in Alaska is seeking an experienced Underground Mine Surveyor/Survey Technician. This role supports planning and production by delivering precise underground surveys using total stations and modern software.

You will work a 15‑day on, 13‑day off schedule at a remote campsite, with on-site camp facilities, transportation to Fairbanks and surrounding areas, and a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork within the Mining Department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of survey theory and instruments.
• Proficient with Windows, MS Word and Excel.
• Ability to pass background check and post-offer physical.

Responsibilities

• Prepare underground 3D as-built surveys using total station equipment.
• Establish and maintain survey wall stations.
• Lay out survey control for face blasting.
• Lay out survey control for long-hole slashing.
• Update survey drawings using AutoCAD, Vulcan and Surpac.
• Prepare end-of-month volume and footage reports using Vulcan.
• Survey volumes for surface ore, waste, and stockpiles.
• Assist in mine plans and designs.
• Assist in alignment of exploration drills (surface/underground).
• Complete survey projects accurately and on schedule.
• Other duties as required.
