Qualifications

• BS degree in a technical field (mining, civil, or geological engineering).
• 10+ years quarry or mining experience (hard rock mining preferred).
• 5+ years supervisory experience in mining, quarrying, maintenance, or processing environment.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety consciousness and maintain a safe work environment.
• Supervise underground mining operations and ensure supplies for processing plants.
• Evaluate mine labor, equipment, and materials for cost-efficient operations.
• Direct department operations to complete projects on time and maintain records.
• Oversee 24/7 mining operations, safety, and issues affecting the mine.
• Develop and implement short and long-term mine plans; select equipment and procurement.
• Develop departmental budgets and track performance against plan.
• Participate in capital project development for mining equipment and facilities.
• Troubleshoot mine and crusher problems as they arise.
• Maintain ISO certification through procedures and audits.
• Hire, counsel, and terminate employees as needed.
• Manage vendor relationships for mining equipment maintenance, repair, and services.
