Job summary

Midsouth Aggregates, a CRH company, is seeking a Mining Engineer based in Georgia to monitor aggregate mining operations, plan and survey, and develop extraction methods for efficient, safe production. You will collaborate with management to design ramps, haul roads, and mine layouts, while aligning with regulatory requirements and company safety policies.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or an Associate degree in Mine Engineering, the ability to travel to job sites, and readiness to work flexible

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor aggregate mining operations and ensure plans align with mine design and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with management to review surveys, plans, and development around our aggregate production sites.
• Assist in laying out mine development, ramps, and access roads, and coordinate with drilling and blasting activities.
• Analyze extraction methods, safety factors, and operational costs to optimize performance.
• Support compliance with state and federal regulations and company safety policies.
• Travel to job sites as needed and work nights/weekends when required.

Education

Bachelors and/or Associate Degree in Mine Engineering
