Job summary

Midsouth Aggregates, a CRH company, is seeking a Mining Engineer in Georgia to monitor mining operations, assist in surveying, phasing, and mine design for levees and haul roads, and help develop extraction methods.

Working with management, you will ensure safety, environmental compliance, and cost-effective production while coordinating with state and federal agencies. The role requires staying vigilant for hazards and adapting plans to field conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Associate Degree in Mine Engineering.
• Experience with surveying, planning, and mine design is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in mining.

Responsibilities

• Monitor aggregate mining operations and planning activities.
• Assist in surveying, phasing, and design for levees and haul roads.
• Develop extraction methods and labor/equipment planning.
• Direct mining construction activities and coordinate with drill and blast vendors.
• Analyze throughput costs, plant flow, and budgeting data.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with management and regulatory agencies as required.
