Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited is seeking a Mine Geologist for the Pogo Gold Mine in Alaska. The role focuses on collecting geological information and performing underground mapping to support safe, efficient ore extraction.

You will work under the Senior Mine Geologist in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. The position involves developing heading instructions, data collection, meticulous documentation, and coordination with Drilling/Resource Geologists.

Qualifications

• Degree majoring in Geology or in an equivalent field.
• Current Driver’s License.
• Pass a background check and post offer physical.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructions for underground development heading based on geology and drill data.
• Collect samples and mapping information from development faces for ore evaluation.
• Perform geological mapping of operating ore development as instructed by Senior Geologists.
• Communicate geological information to mine personnel to aid ore extraction optimization.
• Adhere to procedures in data collection to ensure high quality data and safe sampling/mapping.
• Attend safety, planning and production meetings and communicate pertinent information.
