Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited, an Australian gold producer, is seeking a Mining Engineer for the Pogo Mine in Alaska. The role centers on delivering underground designs and schedules in a safe, compliant framework for production targets.

You will generate drift and fill stope designs, manage ventilation and backfill, and perform cost analyses for projects while maintaining strong safety and environmental standards. A 15/13 rotation occurs on remote camp duty.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mining engineering or related field.
• Current Driver's License.
• Must pass post offer physical, drug test, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Generate and implement underground drift and fill stope designs.
• Generate short- and medium-term production schedules.
• Present weekly production schedules to mine operations and geology departments.
• Establish and monitor mine ventilation network designs.
• Establish and implement paste backfill designs.
• Establish and implement ground control and support designs.
• Perform financial evaluations and cost analyses for operating and capital projects.
• Identify, communicate and assist to resolve safety hazards.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
