Job summary

Kinross Gold is seeking an Underground Maintenance General Supervisor for Round Mountain in Nevada. You will lead the underground maintenance organization, develop long-term strategies, and align assets, budgets, and workforce with mine objectives.

You will drive fleet reliability, maintenance planning, and capital project oversight, coordinating across operations, reliability, engineering, and supply chain to enable growth and safe, efficient production.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or GED.
• Required: 5+ years maintenance experience underground hard-rock mining.
• Required: 8+ years maintenance leadership experience.
• Required: 5+ years leading maintenance supervisors, planners, reliability personnel, contractors or equivalent teams.
• Required: Experience developing maintenance strategies for underground mobile mining fleets.
• Required: Experience managing operating and capital budgets, maintenance cost performance, contractor strategy, long-range forecasts.
• Required: Experience with underground mobile maintenance systems and asset management programs.
• Required: Strong underground hard-rock mining maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute long-range maintenance strategies aligned with Underground Operations plans and asset management requirements.
• Establish lifecycle, reliability, replacement, rebuild and condition-monitoring strategies to improve availability and control costs.
• Develop and manage annual operating budgets, capital requests, maintenance forecasts, contractor strategies, and financial performance.
• Build and develop a high-performing underground maintenance organization through workforce planning and leadership development.
• Provide leadership for underground startup, ramp-up, and strategic growth in maintenance infrastructure and systems.
• Partner with Mine Operations, Technical Services and other stakeholders to ensure maintenance strategy supports mine plans and growth.
• Establish targets and drive improvements in availability, reliability, cost performance, and contractor performance.
