Job summary

Kinross Gold Corporation seeks an Underground Maintenance General Supervisor to lead the underground maintenance organization at Round Mountain, NV. You will drive long-range maintenance strategies, budgets, and asset management aligned with mine plans and growth initiatives.

The role requires extensive underground hard-rock maintenance leadership, strategy development, and cross-functional collaboration with operations, planning, reliability, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years maintenance experience in underground hard-rock mining.
• Minimum 8 years maintenance leadership experience.
• Minimum 5 years leading maintenance supervisors, planners, reliability personnel or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing maintenance strategies for underground mobile fleets.
• Experience managing operating budgets, capital budgets, maintenance cost performance, contractor strategy, and long-range forecasts.
• Proven experience with underground mobile maintenance systems, asset management programs, reliability initiatives, and maintenance planning processes.
• Strong underground hard-rock mining maintenance experience; surface-only mining experience not considered equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute long-range underground maintenance strategies aligned with site plans and asset management requirements.
• Lead fleet lifecycle, reliability improvement, replacement planning, and total cost of ownership.
• Develop operating and capital budget inputs and monitor cost performance against plans.
• Build and develop a high-performing underground maintenance organization through planning routines and leadership development.
• Partner with Mine Operations and Technical Services to ensure maintenance strategy supports mine plans and growth.
