Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Underground Fixed Maintenance General Supervisor for the Goldstrike operations. You will lead the safe execution of maintenance on fixed equipment and oversee related projects, coordinating with the Maintenance Superintendent to meet mine objectives.

The role requires strong leadership, blueprints knowledge, and top-tier communication skills to guide teams and ensure regulatory compliance while driving cost-effective maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of verifiable maintenance experience required.
• Five (5) years of supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Experience in a planned maintenance environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics required.
• Professional communication skills with various levels of employees both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent leadership skills and knowledge of influencing others.
• Proficient with basic computer software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Valid driver's license required.
• Commitment to developing and maintaining a safe work culture.
• Able to drive manual transmission mine tractor and other company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Lead the safe execution of maintenance activities for fixed equipment.
• Lead maintenance-related projects.
• Support mine maintenance objectives with the Maintenance Superintendent.
• Assist other departments with maintenance interactions impacting the mine plan.
• Assist maintenance budgeting and planning for projects.
• Supervise maintenance supervisors and plan their career development.
• Ensure activities comply with safety, security, and environmental policies.
• Participate in maintenance planning processes.
• Collaborate with project departments to improve handoffs between maintenance and capital projects teams.
• Ensure department condition monitoring and reliability objectives are met.
• Ensure contractors comply with safety policies.
• Administer company policies and procedures.
• Focus on cost management to maximize value.
