Job summary

Heidelberg Materials NE LLC is seeking a hands-on technician to service heavy mobile equipment in underground settings. You will fuel, lubricate, inspect, and document equipment status while supporting maintenance teams.

The role requires adherence to strict underground safety procedures, with a focus on preventing leaks, wear, and downtime through proactive maintenance and accurate logs. Physical work in harsh conditions is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be able to safely service heavy mobile equipment in underground/industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of lubrication systems and diesel equipment.
• Commitment to safety and ability to follow underground mining regulations.
• Ability to work independently in a physically demanding environment while supporting a team.
• Excellent communication and detail‑oriented equipment care.

Responsibilities

• Perform fueling and lubrication of mobile equipment including loaders, haul trucks, and support vehicles.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections to identify wear, leaks, or maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate service logs and communicate equipment status to maintenance and operations teams.
• Assist with preventative maintenance tasks and support mechanics with basic repairs.
• Follow all site‑specific underground safety procedures, including ventilation and hazardous material protocols.
