Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking an experienced Underground Heavy Equipment Technician to operate in an underground environment. You will fuel, inspect, and maintain loaders, haul trucks and support vehicles, while keeping detailed service logs for maintenance and operations teams.

The role emphasizes safety, knowledge of lubrication systems and diesel equipment, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team on a physically demanding site.

Qualifications

• Experience safely servicing heavy mobile equipment in underground or industrial settings.
• Knowledge of lubrication systems and diesel-powered equipment.
• Commitment to safety and ability to follow underground mining procedures.
• Ability to work independently in a physically demanding environment while supporting a team.
• Strong communication and proactive equipment care.

Responsibilities

• Fuel and lubricate mobile equipment including loaders and haul trucks.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify wear, leaks, or maintenance needs.
• Maintain service logs and report equipment status to maintenance and operations teams.
• Assist with preventative maintenance tasks and support mechanics with basic repairs.
• Follow site underground safety procedures and environmental protocols.
