Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking an experienced underground heavy equipment technician to service and maintain mobile equipment at our site. You will perform fueling, lubrication, inspections, and logs, supporting maintenance teams in a challenging underground environment.

You must follow safety procedures, communicate status clearly, and assist with preventative maintenance. We offer a $2,000 sign-on bonus, union benefits, and comprehensive health and pension plans.

Qualifications

• ;Demonstrated ability to safely service and maintain heavy mobile equipment in underground or industrial settings.
• ;Working knowledge of lubrication systems, diesel equipment, and preventative maintenance practices.
• ;Strong commitment to safety with the ability to follow underground mining regulations and procedures.
• ;Ability to work independently in a physically demanding environment while supporting a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform fueling and lubrication of mobile equipment including loaders, haul trucks, and support vehicles
• Conduct routine equipment inspections to identify wear, leaks, or maintenance needs
• Maintain accurate service logs and communicate equipment status to maintenance and operations teams
• Assist with preventative maintenance tasks and support mechanics with basic repairs
• Follow all site-specific underground safety procedures, including ventilation, confined space, and hazardous material protocols
