Job summary

ITG Communications is seeking an Underground Locator in Kaukauna, WI to lead drilling operations, locate utilities, and ensure safe bore paths. You will coordinate crews, interpret maps, and direct drilling with a focus on safety and accuracy.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in underground construction, experience with HDD, and proficiency with locating equipment. Strong emphasis on safety, documentation, and stakeholder communication will be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training in utility location/underground construction preferred.
• Certification in utility location or HDD techniques highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead underground drilling operations and coordinate drill crews.
• Locate existing utilities prior to drilling using detection equipment.
• Interpret utility maps to plan safe bore paths.
• Direct drilling operations and communicate depth, direction, and obstacles.
• Monitor progress with electronic tracking to ensure accuracy.
• Perform potholing and verify utility crossings.
• Ensure safety protocols and damage prevention requirements.
