Job summary

GridHawk LLC in Michigan is seeking Locate Technicians to identify and document underground utilities, including telephone, electric, fiber, water, and gas lines. You will use transmitters, maps, and blueprints, and you may work alone or with a team under supervision across varied terrains and weather.

Performance matters in a safety-conscious environment. Candidates must have a High School diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, the ability to lift 50 lbs, read prints, and pass a background

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license required; able to drive in all weather and terrains.
• Experience with vacuum trucks is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret prints and maps.
• Must pass a background check and DOT drug test.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground facilities using transmitters and existing lines or maps.
• Observe, locate, mark and document utility locations in various environments.
• Work independently or as part of a supervised team; communicate with customers and coworkers.
• Verify locations and ensure accuracy for utility customers.
