Job summary

GridHawk LLC is seeking a MI- Utility Locate Technician to join our field team in Leonard, MI. You will locate underground facilities, mark sites, and document findings while adhering to state and client requirements.

The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently or with a team under supervision. Qualifying candidates possess a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, interpret and decipher prints.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground facilities using transmitter and buried facilities.
• Work in varied terrain and weather conditions.
• Interpret job orders, blueprints, and maps to locate and mark utilities.
• Perform locates during regular, overtime, and holiday hours as needed.
• Communicate with customers, coworkers, and management to ensure accuracy and safety.
