RECONN Utility Services in Ohio seeks an Advanced Locate Technician to locate underground utilities, mark locations, and document workflows. You will work outdoors in all weather, with a company laptop and smartphone, and training is provided.

The role requires 1 year locating experience, ability to travel locally, pass a drug screen, valid driver’s license, and willingness to overtime; starting pay is $21–$32 per hour, with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1 year of utility locating experience required.
• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Ability to travel locally during the business day; some out-of-area or overnight travel may be expected.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods; lift up to 75 lbs.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Able to distinguish colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities.
• Able to read locate tickets, maps and prints; basic math to calculate distances.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
