Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation seeks an Underground Lineman Apprentice (Levels 3–8) to join our T&D team in Raleigh, North Carolina. You will assist journeymen in installing, maintaining, and repairing underground electrical systems, including cables, conduits, and equipment, while following safety policies.

The role requires ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work, lift and climb, and travel as needed. Valid driver’s license is required; CDL may be needed depending on project needs.

Qualifications

• Underground lineman apprentice levels 3–8 experience.
• Knowledge of underground utility construction practices.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL may be required depending on level.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Must successfully complete all pre-employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of underground electrical distribution systems.
• Perform underground cable installation, conduit placement, trenching, and related utility construction activities.
• Assist with setting transformers, pedestals, vaults, and other underground electrical equipment.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in underground utility construction.
• Load, unload, stage, and organize materials and equipment at job sites.
• Assist Journeymen Linemen, Foremen, and other field leadership as directed.
• Follow all company and job-site safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in daily job briefings, safety meetings, and required training.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform physical labor in varying weather and job-site conditions.
• Work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as required by project needs.
