MasTec Communications Group is seeking an Underground Laborer/Groundman to support outdoor telecom construction in California. The job involves fiber-related tasks, conduit and manhole work, trenching, drilling, and fiber installation across various terrains.
You will follow supervisor directions, maintain safety, handle equipment, and learn jobsite procedures while contributing to a hands-on team.
As an Underground Laborer/Groundman, you will support aerial and underground outside plant (OSP) telecommunications construction projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Work may include fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) installations, conduit and manhole construction, trenching, plowing, horizontal directional drilling (HDD), micro-trenching, vacuum excavation, cable pulling and blowing, aerial construction, pole work, and drop installation, depending on project requirements and terrain.

Compensation of $18-$25 per hour, depending on the experience.
