MasTec Communications Group in California is seeking an Underground Laborer/Groundman to support outdoor telecom construction projects, including FTTH, conduit, trenching, and pole work. You will follow supervisor instructions, assist with site preparation, equipment, and safety compliance.
Requirements include a valid driver's license, ability to lift 70 lbs, map reading, climbing certification for pole work, and experience with outside plant fiber construction.
As an Underground Laborer/Groundman, you will support aerial and underground outside plant (OSP) telecommunications construction projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Work may include fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) installations, conduit and manhole construction, trenching, plowing, horizontal directional drilling (HDD), micro-trenching, vacuum excavation, cable pulling and blowing, aerial construction, pole work, and drop installation, depending on project requirements and terrain.

Compensation of $18-$25 per hour, depending on the experience.
