Job summary

GridSource in Lafayette, LA is seeking Underground Laborers to join our crew. You will place cables and splice conduits, install underground pipes, and support crews on various tasks across sites.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading equipment, operating heavy machinery, and traveling to different job sites while adhering to safety protocols. A high school diploma or GED and broadband industry experience are required; knowledge of NEC/OSHA regulations is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous broadband industry experience required.
• Working knowledge of NEC/OSHA regulations and safety standards.
• Lifts up to 95 lbs and can travel to multiple job sites.

Pay Rate: $22-28 per hour depending on experience

The UndergroundLaboreris responsible for placing cables in trenches, splice conduit sections as directed, and more to ensure that the task is complete in a timely manner. They are also able to work with the crews and support the crews, supervisors, and project managers

What you will do:

• Has the ability to use a variety of miscellaneous tools and equipment to dig.

• Has the ability to operate heavy machinery.

• Has the ability to travel to differentjobsites.

What you will need:

• High school diploma or GED required.


• Previous experience in the broadband industry required.


• Must have a working knowledge of construction, the National Electrical Code, OSHA regulations, state and local regulations and general safety standards.


• The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or carry loads of up to 95 lbs.
