Job summary

Barminco Mining Services Canada Ltd. seeks an organized HSE Coordinator to support an underground hard rock mining project 65 miles outside Elko, Nevada. The role reports to the Project Manager and drives occupational health, safety, and environmental programs on-site.

Responsibilities include audits, incident investigations, training, and weekly HSE reporting. The position requires MSHA certification, 4–6 years of experience, and ability to work a 14/14 shift rotation with on-site living

Qualifications

• 4-6 years’ relevant experience, preferably in an underground hard rock mine.
• Certificate in MSHA Required.
• Ability to prioritize workload with urgency and outcomes focus.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment with professionalism.
• Thorough knowledge of HSE legislation and compliance requirements.
• Maintain integrity and confidentiality.
• Valid driver’s license; manual transmission an asset.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel and site databases.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Barminco HSE policies and local regulations.
• Perform safety inspections, hazard analyses, and risk assessments.
• Develop and distribute HSE reports and presentations.
• Conduct audits of HSE programs and site locations.
• Maintain records to meet regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate incident investigations and emergency response.
• Provide on-site inductions and training for personnel.
• Maintain registers and equipment records.
• Maintain professional relationships with employees and partners.
• Attend operations and safety meetings and review procedures.
