Job summary

Mader Group is actively seeking experienced underground mechanics to join our growing team. This role focuses on fault finding, maintenance, and repairs across a range of underground hard rock equipment, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality workmanship.

You will operate in underground environments, adapting to multiple OEM platforms, and contribute to reliable equipment performance on diverse sites. Competitive rotations and support on travel logistics are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience with underground hard rock equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability.
• Ability to work independently in underground environments.
• Experience with planned maintenance, inspections, and breakdown repairs.
• Experience across OEM platforms (Sandvik, Epiroc, CAT, Normet, Getman).
• Strong commitment to safe work practices.
• Pride in quality workmanship.
• Reliable and easy to work with on site.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and complete breakdown repairs underground.
• Carry out planned maintenance and inspections to a high standard.
• Work across a variety of underground equipment types.
• Maintain strong attention to safety and workmanship.
• Identify parts and plan upcoming maintenance work.
• Contribute to reliable and efficient equipment performance.
• Work closely with site teams and other experienced tradespeople.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience completing planned maintenance, inspections, and breakdown repairs

• Someone who takes pride in quality workmanship
• Reliable, professional, and easy to work with on site
• Valid driver’s license
