Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC in Manassas, VA is seeking an entry-level Underground Equipment Operator to assist in the construction, maintenance and repair of underground distribution systems. The role may require travel to another state to meet customer demands.

This position involves working around energized high voltage systems, basic rigging, operating heavy equipment, and strict safety practices. CDL permit must be obtained within 60 days, with overtime possible.

Qualifications

• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Work safely on new construction, maintenance or repair of underground.
• Assist with installing underground transformers.
• Assist in replacing fuses and faulted circuits.
• Operate heavy equipment and use PPE properly.
• Perform tasks with basic rigging and material handling.
