MasTec Communications Group is hiring an Underground Foreman for a travel, temp-to-hire role. You will build, repair, and maintain outdoor utility projects, leading crews on active job-sites while ensuring safety and high-quality workmanship.

You will operate a range of heavy equipment, troubleshoot field issues, and coach your team through complex tasks. This role involves travel and long hours, with compensation aligned to California labor norms.

• Train your crew on various kinds of tools and equipment
• Operate backhoes, dozers, cable plows, air compressors, trenchers, hydraulic reel trailers & other types of machinery.
• Manage all aspects of job-site construction

Compensation of $30-$36 per hour, depending on the experience.

Additional details:

• Overtime pay will be provided in accordance with California labor laws, at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate for hours worked over 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a workweek
• The schedule is typically 6 days per week, 10-12 hours per day; Crews may travel one week at a time, occasionally extended stays up to two weeks before returning home for a break
• Per diem includes hotel + $50 for food
• Rest and Meal Breaks will be compensated for paid rest periods and granted unpaid meal breaks in accordance with California labor laws
• Your employment with MasTec is “at-will,” meaning either you or the company may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice
