Responsibilities

As an Underground Foreman, you will support all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom projects. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you’re up for the challenge.

• Use your knowledge and skills in construction to build, repair, and maintain projects
• Work in outdoor utility construction sites
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field
• Train your crew on various kinds of tools and equipment
• Operate backhoes, dozers, cable plows, air compressors, trenchers, hydraulic reel trailers and other types of machinery.
• Manage all aspects of job-site construction

• MOS Codes 12H, 3E251, 3E271, 4305 relate well to this position.

Additional Details

• Overtime pay will be provided in accordance with California labor laws, at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate for hours worked over 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a workweek
• The schedule is typically 6 days per week, 10-12 hours per day; crews may travel one week at a time, occasionally extended stays up to two weeks before returning home for a break
• Per diem includes hotel + $50 for food
• Rest and meal breaks will be compensated for paid rest periods and granted unpaid meal breaks in accordance with California labor laws
• Your employment with MasTec is “at‑will,” meaning either you or the company may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice
