Job summary

Kanaan Communications, LLC is seeking a Foreman for our Telecom Underground team in North Jackson, OH. You will lead crews in the installation and maintenance of underground telecom systems, ensuring safety protocols and project timelines are followed.

The role requires at least three years of related experience, eligibility to work in the United States, a valid driver's license, and a High School Diploma or GED. A safety-first culture and opportunities for training and growth are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related foreman or crew lead experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid driver's license required.
• High School Diploma or GED; further education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews to meet project timelines.
• Train crew members on procedures and safety.
• Read and understand blueprints.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA and DOT safety policies.
• Assist Supervisor with daily activities.
• Communicate with property owners about work and resolve issues.
• Operate or supervise use of heavy equipment as needed.
• Perform duties in all weather conditions.

What You’ll Do

• Lead crews to meet project timelines
• Help with training of crew members
• Read and understand blueprints
• Help ensure everyone is following company safety policies, OSHA, and DOT regulations
• Assist Supervisor with day to day activities
• Speak with property owners about work to be performed and resolve any issues
• Safely use heavy equipment and machinery
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• A valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, relevant work experience, or a combination of education and work experience preferred
• At least three years of related work experience
• Previous Foreman experience preferred

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations and in confined spaces with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
