Job summary

Kanaan Communications, LLC is seeking a Foreman for our Telecom Underground team in Ohio. You will lead crews, ensure project timelines, read blueprints, and enforce safety policies including OSHA and DOT regulations. You’ll also assist the supervisor and communicate with property owners about work to be performed.

Requirements include 18+, US work authorization, a valid driver's license, and a HS diploma or GED with related experience; foreman experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, with related work experience preferred.
• At least three years of related work experience; foreman experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews to meet project timelines and quality standards.
• Assist training of crew members and read blueprints.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies, OSHA and DOT regulations.
• Support supervisor with day-to-day activities and coordinate with property owners.
• Safely operate heavy equipment and work in all weather conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Lead crews to meet project timelines
• Help with training of crew members
• Read and understand blueprints
• Help ensure everyone is following company safety policies, OSHA, and DOT regulations
• Assist Supervisor with day to day activities
• Speak with property owners about work to be performed and resolve any issues
• Safely use heavy equipment and machinery
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• A valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, relevant work experience, or a combination of education and work experience preferred
• At least three years of related work experience
• Previous Foreman experience preferred

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations and in confined spaces with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
