Job summary

Race Communications is hiring an Underground Laborer to support construction, maintenance, and operation of telecom infrastructure across California. You will lead a team, operate equipment, and ensure safety and efficiency on-site at Race worksite locations with travel to offices as needed.

The role requires 5+ years sales-related experience, field readiness, and the ability to train others while maintaining project quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• US Employment eligibility without sponsorship.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Associate degree preferred or equivalent education.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with DMV check.
• Ability to travel up to 50% across California markets.
• Experience in telecommunications or rapid-growth sectors preferred.
• English communicationSkills including reading/writing.
• Spanish language desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead underground labor teams on utility installation, maintenance and repair projects.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers and cross-functional teams to implement plans on time.
• Train and mentor team members on safety, equipment operation and best practices.
• Maintain records, reports and project documentation.
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and safety.
