Job summary

Blue Streak LLC is hiring an Underground Foreman to oversee all phases of underground utility construction for OSP telecommunications projects. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, field supervision, and ensuring safety and compliance on site.

The ideal candidate has experience in underground utility and OSP construction, the ability to lead crews, operate or supervise heavy equipment, and a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred). This is an on-site role based in Alabama.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in building, repairing, and maintaining utility construction projects
• Work in outdoor environments, including trenches and underground sites
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise in the field
• Train crew members on the safe and effective use of tools and equipment
• Operate heavy machinery such as backhoes, dozers, cable plows, trenchers, air compressors, hydraulic reel trailers, and other construction equipment
• Ensure proper setup and execution of all phases of job-site activity
• Maintain compliance with all safety standards and project specifications
• Complete other duties as assigned

We are currently hiring a skilled Underground Foreman to support all phases of utility construction for a variety of OSP telecommunications projects. This role requires hands-on experience in underground utility construction. A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in building, repairing, and maintaining utility construction projects
• Work in outdoor environments, including trenches and underground sites
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise in the field
• Train crew members on the safe and effective use of tools and equipment
• Operate heavy machinery such as backhoes, dozers, cable plows, trenchers, air compressors, hydraulic reel trailers, and other construction equipment
• Ensure proper setup and execution of all phases of job-site activity
• Maintain compliance with all safety standards and project specifications
• Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Experience in underground utility and OSP telecommunications construction
• Strong knowledge of construction equipment and field operations
• Ability to lead and supervise field crews
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and job-site conditions
• Valid driver’s license required
