McCall-Thomas Engineering Company is seeking a full-time 1099 contract Lineman (Underground) with travel in the Southeast, currently working on projects across SC, NC, and GA. The role may convert to a regular full-time position with benefits after 3 months of solid performance.

The candidate will install conduit, pull fiber, and support underground utility construction with a strong focus on safety and quality workmanship in varied outdoor conditions.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Line worker certification.
• Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Minimum of 1 year of underground utility, telecommunications, fiber optic, or related construction work.
• Knowledge of underground construction methods and utility safety practices.
• Ability to read construction drawings and follow project specifications.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• CDL-A.
• Ability to travel as required and work overtime when necessary.

Aufgaben

• Install underground conduit, innerduct, handholes, vaults, and fiber optic infrastructure.
• Pull, place, and secure fiber optic cable in underground systems.
• Assist with directional drilling, trenching, boring, and cable placement operations.
• Locate and identify existing underground utilities before excavation.
• Perform restoration activities following construction, including grading, seeding, and site cleanup.
• Read and interpret construction prints, utility maps, and work orders.
• Operate construction equipment such as mini excavators, trenchers, skid steers, vibratory plows, and cable trailers.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and maintain tools and vehicles.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards, OSHA regulations, and customer requirements.
• Support outage response and emergency restoration efforts when required.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work and materials used.
