Job summary

McCall-Thomas Engineering Company is seeking a full-time 1099 contract Lineman (Aerial Fiber) with travel across the Southeast, including SC, NC, and GA. The role may convert to a full-time position with benefits after 3 months if performance is satisfactory.

Responsibilities include installing and maintaining aerial fiber, adhering to safety standards, and coordinating with customers on service installations. Travel is required as projects move between sites.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A
• Knowledge of aerial ADSS fiber installations
• Lineworker training certification
• 2+ years’ experience in the industry
• Basic tools required- could be climbing tools (Belt and Gaffs), basic hand tools etc.
• Able to travel as project locations change
• Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Monitor quality assurance and ensure installations meet customer specifications and industry standards.
• Observe safety practices by all crews during their work.
• Establish OSHA and customer safety requirements.
• String new wire or maintain existing wire.
• Climb power poles, perform work off of hooks.
• Maintain aerial specs when placing overhead lines.
• Set up service for customers: install, connect, test, or adjust equipment.
• Tree trimming

McCall-Thomas Engineering Company is seeking a full-time 1099 contract Lineman (Aerial Fiber) for work requiring require travel in the Southeast, with current projects in SC, NC and GA. This position will be evaluated for conversion to a full-time regular hire with benefits after 3 months of work in good standing.

Benefits are not offered for contract (1099) hires, but if this position transitions to a regular full-time employee of McCall-Thomas, benefits would be available at the time of transition.

This is a 1099 contract position without benefits at this time.
