Job summary

Visionary Broadband in Casper, WY is seeking an Outside Plant Underground Construction Locator/Operator to join our team. You will work with Engineering and Construction teams to build and maintain underground fiber optic plant across Visionary territories.

The role requires trenching, boring, placing handholes, and providing in-field feedback. A CDL or ability to obtain one, a valid license, and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of telecom underground construction experience.
• CDL or ability to obtain CDL for this role.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Detail oriented and accurate in reporting.
• Ability to pass a drug test and background screening.
• Knowledge of fiber mapping software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work under Construction Manager’s direction to ensure safe and productive practices.
• Operate requisite machinery safely to complete the job.
• Create daily production reports, track material usage, and maintain as-built maps.
• Coordinate with fleet management to ensure vehicle and machine maintenance.
