Job summary

Viaero Fiber Networks in Fort Morgan, Colorado is seeking entry-level and experienced Fiber Optic Utility Construction workers to join our outside plant crew. You\u2019ll help install fiber facilities, endure outdoor conditions, and contribute to reliable network delivery.

• Able to perform demanding physical tasks outdoors

• Pothole utilities, place vaults/handholes, excavate trenches, set markers, place fiber cables
• Haul equipment between projects and perform other duties as required

With over 3000 miles of Fiber in over 100 cities, Viaero Fiber Networks is growing and looking for Fiber Optic Utility Construction workers to join our outside plant fiber construction crew. We’re looking for entry-level and experienced Construction techs who are committed to ensuring the quality of our construction, and the reliability of our network. What you’ll do

• Install new Fiber Optic Network facilities (buried underground and possible aerial)
• Pothole existing utilities, place various sized vaults/handholes/manholes, excavating trenches/holes, core drilling building entrances, setting marker post, placing fiber cables
• Haul and move equipment from project to project
• Perform other duties as required

Requirements

• Fiber Optic or Utility Construction experience is desired, but willing to train on the job
• At least 21 years of age and hold a current driver’s license; CDL endorsement a plus
• Able to perform manual tasks requiring frequent walking, stooping, crouching, reaching, lifting, digging, pushing and pulling
• Able to lift materials weighing up to 100 pounds
• Able to work outside in all elements
• Must be able to travel for extended periods of time (overnight and weekly stays required)
• Must have the ability to pass pre-employment checks, which include a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and substance screening, following federal law.
• Must have an eye for detail and a solid work ethic
