Job summary

GTS is seeking a Drop Bury Technician in Spartanburg, SC to install and maintain buried low‑voltage cables in residential and commercial sites. You will operate trenching equipment, read blueprints, and restore outdoor spaces to their original condition after work.

The role requires 1–2 years of drop bury field experience, a valid vehicle and required tools, and the ability to pass drug and background screening. 1099 contractor position with local travel.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in drop bury field experience.
• Ability to pass required drug and background screening.
• Insured and Bonded (requirements provided).
• Owned vehicle and required equipment.

Responsibilities

• Providing own equipment for production of job requirements.
• Operating utility locater and placing paint lines or flags for lines to ensure safe trenching.
• Read the job layout including valves and meters that may or may not be located.
• Operate trenching equipment, duct work laying, cable pulling, and driveway/sidewalk boring.
• Maintain bore logs.
• Read blueprints and organize materials and resources for excavation.
• Restore customer lawns and landscaping back to original condition.
