Job summary

Peabody Energy seeks an Eng Tech/Survey UG for the Gateway North Mine in Coulterville. The role covers surface and underground surveying with a $37.45 hourly rate. Responsibilities include operating Total Station, GPS, drone surveys, and mapping for mine development and production.

Requirements include two-piece equipment operation experience, mining regs knowledge, and a high school diploma or GED. Safety and environmental compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have demonstrated operating skills on at least two pieces of section equipment (continuous miner, roof bolter, haulage equipment, scoop).
• Must be knowledgeable of State and Federal mining regulations pertaining to underground mining.
• Certificate of Competency (Face Papers) or Miners License issued by the state where working.
• Must possess high school diploma or GED equivalent

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain surveying instruments to accomplish related work assignments, including Total Station, Level, GPS, Drone.
• Responsible for all underground and surface surveying duties: production sights, belt sights, mine surveys, check surveys, levels, boundary surveys, stockpile surveys.
• Responsible for mapping: mine development/production, ventilation controls, levels, check surveys.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and recording of mine data for production and engineering reports.
• Assist in air, water, and reclamation monitoring as well as sampling activities.
