Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Electrician I for its Underground Maintenance team. You will work collaboratively to maintain electrical systems and support equipment in a high‑safety, high‑production mining environment.

The role requires understanding electrical theory, PLCs, motor repair, and interpreting schematics. Expect to operate multiple types of equipment, follow safety policies, and contribute to a proactive maintenance culture in a large-scale gold operation.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in electrical theory and practice for troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Experience reading schematics, blueprints, and technical data sheets.
• Ability to troubleshoot PLC-based controls and motor systems.
• Demonstrated teamwork and adherence to safety policies in a mine setting.

Responsibilities

• Work as a team member within Underground Maintenance.
• Operate two types of support equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures and maintain productivity.
• Research and update work orders in Ellipse with comments after completion.
• Understand and apply electrical theory for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Read and interpret National Electric Code guidelines and install up to 4160 volts.
