Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Electrician (Tech 4 or Higher) in the Carlin Process Maintenance department. The role requires performing electrical repairs, inspections, preventive maintenance, and installations across plant systems, while complying with safety regulations.

The position involves working nights/days on a rotating schedule, using Ellipse for work orders, and applying knowledge of PLC, DCS, VFDs and instrumentation to support reliable operations in a major gold-producing complex.

Qualifications

• Electrical repairs, installations, inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical lines, machinery and equipment.
• Understand and interpret instrumentation data sheets, schematics, P&IDs, blue prints and instructional guides.
• Proficiency withMicrosoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Load and run equipment-specific software and procure parts using Ellipse.

Responsibilities

• Work as a team member.
• Perform electrical repairs, installations, inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical lines, machinery and equipment throughout the plant.
• Comply with State and Federal safety and environmental regulations and Newmont policies and procedures.
• Perform Technician 3 duties proficiently.
• Read and interpret NEC and install/maintain circuits up to 15 kV.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, instruments, and devices.
• Demonstrate knowledge of PLC/DCS basics and ladder logic.
