Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is hiring an Underground Electrician for the El Nino operations in Elko County. The role focuses on troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems on underground and surface equipment, with responsibilities including new installations and related duties.

The ideal candidate has underground electrical experience, high voltage know-how, and formal electrical training, along with strong safety and teamwork skills to thrive in a dynamic mining environment.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years underground electrical experience preferred.
• High voltage experience preferred.
• Formal electrical training and troubleshooting background preferred.
• Ability to read complex prints and a good understanding of electrical codes preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and proven track record of being a team player required.
• Exemplary safety performance and attendance record required.
• Ability to accomplish physical labor under all weather conditions required.
• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform all electrical repairs on underground and surface equipment, as well as stationary equipment.
• Install new electrical systems as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
