Job summary

Kinross is seeking a Mine Maintenance Supervisor for the Curlew mine site in Washington. You will lead fixed maintenance and electrical work, ensure reliability, and uphold safety and regulatory standards while supporting production targets.

Responsibilities include planning maintenance, overseeing underground infrastructure, guiding technical teams, and ensuring CMMS documentation is accurate and complete. Strong leadership and MSHA knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade certification preferred.
• 5–10+ years in underground mining maintenance with supervision.
• Knowledge of underground fixed plant systems and HV/MV safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate fixed maintenance and electrical crews safely and efficiently.
• Plan and assign daily/weekly maintenance, preventive and corrective work.
• Ensure compliance with MSHA, policies, and SafeGround principles.
• Oversee underground infrastructure maintenance (power, dewatering, ventilation).
• Provide guidance on complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Coordinate with Ops, Technical Services, and Planning for schedules.
• Review work orders and close documentation in CMMS (JDE).
• Lead shift turnovers and communicate priorities across crews.
• Monitor reliability and implement actions to reduce downtime.
• Support contractor management and safety standards.
• Develop and mentor team members; participate in investigations.
• Maintain housekeeping and environmental safety.
