Kinross is seeking an experienced Maintenance Leader to oversee mobile, fixed, and electrical maintenance at a Curlew Basin mine site in Washington. You will lead a skilled team, implement reliability strategies, and ensure safe, cost-effective operations while coordinating with diverse stakeholders.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in mining maintenance, 5+ years in supervision, and strong diagnostic skills across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mining Engineering.
• 10+ years of maintenance experience in mining/industrial environments.
• 5+ years in a supervisory role with proven team-building skills.
• Knowledge of mining equipment and underground operations.
• Strong diagnostic skills in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency with computer systems including JDE and MS Office.
• Demonstrated leadership and collaboration abilities.
• High integrity and ethical behavior in professional interactions.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mobile, fixed, and electrical maintenance at the mine site.
• Lead and develop the maintenance team; mentor and foster improvement.
• Develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance strategies.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance plans and schedules.
• Ensure maintenance targets for availability, reliability, and cost are met.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain safe, productive workplace and implement efficient workflows.
• Approve requisitions for parts; ensure cost-efficient procurement.
• Manage parts inventory, including critical spares.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and expenditures.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising safety/quality.
• Oversee maintenance contracts administration.
• Oversee maintenance job progression system for consistency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
