Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. in Tampa, FL is seeking an Underground Crew Leader to supervise and mentor a crew performing underground distribution work.

The role requires leading safety-focused operations, coordinating tasks, and ensuring compliance with company procedures on energized and de-energized circuits. You will conduct pre-job briefings, inspect equipment, and train lower skilled workers in safe practices.

Qualifications

• Ability to travel long distances on short notice.
• CDL with safe driving record.
• Outdoor work for extended periods in varying weather.
• Lift in excess of 50 lbs.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise crew members and coordinate tasks.
• Lead underground distribution work safely on energized/de-energized circuits.
• Conduct pre-job or tailgate briefings.
• Train lower skilled employees in procedures.
• Inspect and maintain equipment and PPE.
• Identify voltage and ensure proper line clearances.
