Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC in the Dallas/Fort Worth area is seeking an URD Lineman, Class A to join our underground distribution crew. The role includes construction and maintenance of 600V underground lines, safety-first work, and serving the community with reliable power delivery.

You will work under supervision of the foreman, supervise apprentices, and operate heavy equipment. A CDL A and MVR checks are required, with CPR/First Aid training encouraged.

Qualifications

• Apprentice program completion preferred with classroom/work hours.
• Journey-level status preferred; 3–4 years experience optional.
• Valid Class A CDL and current medical examiner card required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise apprentices or groundmen; set safety standards.
• Work energized 600V conductors unsupervised.
• Construct underground distribution lines; dig trenches, string wire, install equipment.
• Work on energized and de-energized lines; in darkness when needed.
• Operate heavy and light equipment; participate in tailboards and meetings.
• Lead by example; support Lineman Trainees and Apprentice Linemen.
