Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC is seeking an URD – Lineman, Class A to support underground distribution construction and maintenance in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The role reports to the crew Foreman and requires working with energized 600V conductors and various heavy equipment.

Qualified candidates have an apprentice program completed or journeyman status, CDL and medical card, and pass background checks. Outdoor work in diverse weather is expected, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Apprentice program completed preferred, including classroom and field hours.
• Three to four years journey level experience preferred but not required.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Class A CDL and current medical examiner card.
• Must pass criminal and MVR background checks and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Supervise apprentice linemen or groundmen during regular duties and set safety standards.
• Work on energized 600V conductors unsupervised.
• Construct and install underground distribution lines and related equipment.
• Perform work on energized and de-energized lines, including in low-visibility conditions.
• Operate heavy and light equipment such as digger derricks and backhoes.
• Mentor Lineman Trainees and Apprentice Linemen and participate in safety meetings.
