Martin Marietta is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for underground mine operations in Randolph, Missouri. The role involves safely operating heavy equipment, basic maintenance, and ensuring loading is performed according to safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid US driver’s license, and may have prior heavy equipment or military experience. This is a full-time, 40+ hour per week position with strong safety expectations.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely in underground mine operations.
• Inspect equipment for wear and perform basic maintenance.
• Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions and ensure proper loading per safety rules.
• Promote safety programs and follow Guardian Angel culture.
• Work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Notify supervisors of needed repairs and assist in plant maintenance.
• Work outdoors year-round and maintain clean work areas.
• Adhere to MSHA regulations and wear PPE correctly.
• Perform duties with minimal supervision.
• Observe and follow company safety policies and procedures.

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator at the underground mine operations in Randolph, Missouri. This position is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment within the plant.

Essential Functions

• Participate in safety programs and trainings, promoting Martin Marietta's Guardian Angel culture
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear
• Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
• Work in a team environment
• Clean work areas
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Proper wear of personal protective equipment
• Notify supervisors of needed repairs
• Ensure materials are properly loaded according to safety requirements
• Assist in plant maintenance and repairs
• Perform duties with minimum supervision

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position and will require 40+ hours per week.

Preferred Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid US driver's license
• Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of MSHA regulations
• Effective verbal communication
• Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenance

Physical Abilities

• Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round
• General physical activities including climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reach with hands and arms, and handling materials
