Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator at the underground mine operations in Randolph, Missouri. This full-time role safely operates heavy equipment within the plant.

Schedule is 4 on 4 off, 6:00 am–6:00 pm, with a pay range of $27.17 per hour plus a $0.40 differential. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid US driver’s license, and at least 1 year of related experience; heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred.

Heavy Equipment Operator

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator at the underground mine operations in Randolph, Missouri. This position is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment within the plant.

Essential Functions

• Participate in safety programs and trainings, promoting Martin Marietta's Guardian Angel culture
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear
• Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
• Work in a team environment
• Clean work areas
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Proper wear of personal protective equipment
• Notify supervisors of needed repairs
• Ensure materials are properly loaded according to safety requirements
• Assist in plant maintenance and repairs
• Perform duties with minimum supervision

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full‑time position and will require 40+ hours per week.

Preferred Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid US driver's license
• 1 + year related experience
• Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of MSHA regulations
• Effective verbal communication
• Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenance

Physical Abilities

• Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round
• General physical activities including climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reach with hands and arms, and handling materials
