Martin Marietta in Randolph, Missouri, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate heavy machinery in underground mine operations. You will work in a safety-conscious team, inspect equipment, and assist with plant maintenance as needed.

The position is full-time, 40+ hours weekly, with a 6:00 am–6:00 pm shift on a 4-on/4-off rotation and pay at $27.17 per hour plus a $0.40 underground differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid US driver's license.
• 1+ year related experience.
• Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely within the plant.
• Inspect equipment for wear and perform basic maintenance.
• Work in a team environment and assist in plant maintenance.
• Maneuver trucks for loading/unloading and ensure proper material loading.
• Notify supervisors of needed repairs and wear safety gear at all times.

Heavy Equipment Operator

Pay Range: $27.17 and an underground differential of $0.40 an hour

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator at the underground mine operations in Randolph, Missouri. This position is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment within the plant.

Essential Functions

• Participate in safety programs and trainings, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel culture
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear
• Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
• Work in a team environment
• Clean work areas
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Proper wear of personal protective equipment
• Notify supervisors of needed repairs
• Ensure materials are properly loaded according to safety requirements
• Assist in plant maintenance and repairs
• Perform duties with minimum supervision

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position and will require 40+ hours per week.

Preferred Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid US driver's license
• 1 + year related experience
• Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of MSHA regulations
• Effective verbal communication
• Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenance

Physical Abilities

• Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round
• General physical activities including climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reach with hands and arms, and handling materials
